When Benjamin Franklin published the colonies’ first political cartoon in 1754, titled Join, or Die!, only about 1/3 of colonists supported breaking from the Crown, and about 1/3 remained loyal to it. The rest, much like today, stayed on the sidelines.
So what changed over the next 20 years? Join us to learn whose profits, taxes, and livelihoods were on the line and how those tensions turned the undecided into a movement for revolution.

Tours run seasonally with select evening and weekend times, lasting about 75 minutes and covering 1.25mi. Comfortable shoes are encouraged.
