Park in Philadelphia

Our story:

Did you know that 1/3 of Philadelphia citizens supported independence by 1754?

Join, or Die! Tours brings the early nuances of patriots vs. loyalists to life through immersive storytelling at the very sites where it unfolded, showing how artisans, printers, merchants, and clergy may have felt, been influenced, and fought for the patriots or loyalist cause.

Led by a local who lives in the neighborhood, each stop is intended to connect past and present in a way that is engaging for adults and fun for kids. Our mission is to keep it local, to celebrate the residents who still live in these historic homes, preserve their beauty, and carry forward the stories that define Philadelphia’s spirit. And, to think through… how much have times actually changed 250 years later?

What started as a neighborhood passion project for friends, families, and local organizations has grown into a public experience for all, one that proves history is not just remembered here, it is lived.

Meet the founder & his loyal scout

Our founder, Brandon, is a proud Philadelphia local. The tour grew out of his studies in History and City Planning at the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University, as well as countless walks with his dog, Fitzgerald, mapping out the very quaintest way to experience Colonial Philadelphia.

Every visitor not only will learn the city’s history but also will leave with local recommendations that locals truly enjoy.
